A dark blue ball cut open into twin scoops and raised on a short cylinder cast in the same resin. The blue is deep at the rims and clears toward the middle of each scooped face, and at this diameter the wall between the two scoops is the heaviest material in the piece. The cylinder stands on a flat silver plate, and the plate comes with it.
This one is finished in a blue so dark that the outer skin reads as black until something is behind it, and that is a deliberate use of the cut rather than a colour choice made afterwards. The scooped faces are thin enough to stay transparent at the same tint, so the object presents a black silhouette with two lit interiors, and the turn between them is the only thing that explains how one becomes the other. On a paler blue the effect is not available at all.
Standing 32cm on its plate, it is made for a bookshelf or a side table and seen close: the cast foot lifts the ball only a little, so the piece reads as sitting on the surface rather than standing above it. It wants light from behind or the side rather than above, since the clear centres of the scoops are thin material and go dead under a downlight.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The grade is set to start at the foot, the scoops are cut deeper, and black stone can take the place of the silver plate. The ball can be made at another size, and the foot drawn deeper where more lift is wanted. A frosted body is offered and changes the piece completely at this size, since the graded blue depends on being seen through and frosting stops that. It travels as a single crated item with the plate packed flat beside it and the cast foot padded, since the foot is the part a knock would find first. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
The turning cut in dark blue is organic sculpture; the colour is graded in the casting as resin sculpture; and a cast foot makes it indoor sculpture shelf work.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
