This cream cast resin stool is a cube with softly rounded corners in translucent cream resin, with fine dark threads set inside it: they run vertically down each side and drift across the top face, so the piece reads differently from every angle. The corners take on a pale grey-green where the material is deepest through the radius.
Not one thread wanders off its line, and there is no seam or shadow anywhere along any of them, which on a cube you read through as much as look at is most of what there is to see. The corners are worked to a constant radius the whole way round, which is the difficult part on a cube: a radius that tightens on one corner shows against the other three at once. Every face is polished to the same grade, the underside included, since a translucent cube is read through as much as at.
At 40cm this works as a stool at low seat height or as a side table beside a chair, and the flat top will take a lamp without either sitting proud of the corners. Put it where light can pass through it: against a window the threads separate and read individually, and in a shaded corner they close into one mass.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The set thread work is the slow part. There are three decisions. What goes inside is yours to name, the cream can be replaced with another tint, and the corner radius is drawn to order. You name the cube width and the cube height. Where two or more are wanted, the drift of the threads is held the same across the group. The rounded corners and the top face go in boxed clear, and it is lifted with a hand under two opposite corners rather than gripped at an edge. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Dark threads standing still in a cream cube give our art furniture a stool to read through; the suspended threads echo our organic sculptures, the cream casting our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
