Cream Head II Colorblock Monkey Figure - 35cm $75300
Description

The Cream Head II Colorblock Monkey Figure stands 35cm tall — a compact, high-impact pop art piece built around an oversized cartoon monkey head and a primary-colour blocked body. The figure wears a bright yellow visor pulled low across the eyes, with the body broken into bold, deliberate colour zones: a red torso, yellow left arm and leg, white right arm, and blue right leg. Set against a soft light grey base tone, the contrast reads sharp and graphic. This is a designer sculpture sized for shelves, plinths, and considered tabletop placements.

Colourblock Pop, Cartoon Character

The Cream Head II is hand-cast in premium resin from a sculpted master, capturing the exaggerated cartoon proportions — oversized head, stubby limbs, planted stance — that define the piece. Resin allows the fine facial modelling, the curve of the visor brim, and the crisp transitions between colour panels to be reproduced with precision. Each colour block is hand-finished and lacquered, producing flat, saturated fields of red, yellow, blue, white and grey that hold their punch under gallery lighting. This contemporary sculpture sits firmly in the colourblock pop tradition — primary palette, cartoon vocabulary, deliberately graphic surface treatment — but its scale and finish quality place it squarely in the collectible designer-art category rather than the toy or vinyl figure space.

At 35cm, the Cream Head II Monkey works beautifully on a styled bookshelf, a console table in a colourful entrance hall, a designer's studio desk, a creative-agency reception, a children's gallery wall display, or a collector's pop-art shelf alongside other figures. The primary palette pairs naturally with white walls, pale oak, polished concrete, and bold accent textiles. Indoor display only.
