Milky ivory resin fills the back of this petal shell, and a single pale yellow streak runs down from the crown. Wisps of brown ink are scattered thinly through it, never more than a few lines together. Towards the edges the resin turns smoky, so its arm points, its outermost lobes and its rolled lip all read grey, and the chair revolves on a chrome column rising from a chrome disc.
Restraint is the character here: an ivory body, milky in the centre of the back, with only a streak of pale yellow and a scattering of brown wisps for incident. The smoke grey comes in at the edges, so the outline is drawn darker than the body and the lobes stand out clearly against a pale wall. Seen from the side, the grey lip reads as a dark line with the ivory glowing behind it. Polished chrome under the seat keeps the whole chair bright and a little glamorous rather than rustic.
Ivory and grey go with almost any interior, which makes this an easy chair to place in a bedroom, at a dressing table or pulled up to a desk in a pale study. Chrome suits it to a modern room with white or dove-grey walls. A half-turn on its column angles it towards a window or a mirror. Set on level, solid flooring, the disc will not rock. Indoor use only.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The yellow and brown can be raised or kept to a trace, and the smoke at the edges made deeper or left out altogether. Chrome is the finish of this stand, with black or brass offered in its place. As the ink goes in by hand, no two shells match exactly. Shell and stand are delivered as two parts and bolt together with the fixings provided, a straightforward job once the shell is resting face down on a blanket. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Ivory and smoke make this a soft-toned piece of our art furniture, with a chrome base drawn from our metal sculptures and a lobed shell akin to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
