Cornflower blue runs through every tube of this frosted armchair. An arched hoop stands up behind a straight horizontal rail; the rail bends down at each end to make the arms and carries straight on into the front legs, while the two sides of the hoop drop behind it to become the back legs. A thick slab seat with softly rounded edges spans between the arms. The frost is even, so the blue reads soft and chalky rather than glassy, brightening a little at the tips of the front legs.
The whole chair grows from one idea, a thick round tube bent through smooth curves, and the tube keeps its thickness from the crown of the hoop to the floor. Frosting the resin turns the blue soft and milky, so from across a room the chair looks almost upholstered, though it is hard and smooth to the hand. Where one tube passes in front of another the colour deepens slightly, and the tips of the front legs brighten to a lighter, clearer blue. There are no sharp corners anywhere, and no seam shows between the hoop, rail, arms and legs.
At 76cm this armchair suits a dining table or a desk, or makes a statement seat in a hallway or a bedroom. The cornflower blue is cheerful without being loud, sitting easily with chalk-white walls, bleached oak and natural linen, and it lifts a room that faces north. Its rounded outline suits a relaxed living space or a studio. Indoor use only.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The blue can be taken paler towards powder blue or deeper towards a strong azure, and the frost can stay as it is or be polished away for a glossy chair. Seat height and width are set to your own measurements, and the hoop can come down to join the rail if a closed back is preferred. Chairs ordered together are tinted in one session so their blues agree. Each chair travels upright in a crate of its own and is a two-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A frosted chair made of bent round tubes belongs with our organic sculptures; its cornflower casting joins our resin sculptures, and anyone wanting a seat will find it in our art furniture.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
