Giant Sculptures Contemporary Mosaic Figure Bronze Sculpture 150cm, seated form with knees drawn up, hexagonal cells in brown, black, coral, and turquoise.
Contemporary Mosaic Figure Bronze Sculpture - 150cm $24,13800
Description

The Contemporary Mosaic Figure Bronze Sculpture stands 150cm tall: a seated human form drawn tightly into itself, knees pulled to chest, arms wrapped around legs, head bowed in quiet introspection. Every surface is covered in a raised hexagonal cell pattern, each cell filled with brown, black, white, coral pink, or turquoise pigment, separated by grey grout-line borders that give the piece the character of a monumental mosaic come to life in three dimensions.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which preserves the fine relief of each individual hexagonal cell through the pour and finishing stages. The polychrome painted bronze surface is applied by hand after casting, with each colour zone carefully worked into the raised cells. The hands and feet are intentionally left in plain warm bronze, providing a grounding contrast to the geometric ornament above. The result sits at the intersection of contemporary abstract bronze sculpture and decorative art, drawing on mosaic and tessellation traditions rendered in a permanent, weighty medium.

At 150cm and 500kg, this piece commands a significant presence. It suits large interior spaces where the polychrome surface can be appreciated at close range: a museum-grade lobby, a double-height residential hall, a private gallery, or a covered atrium. The coral, turquoise, white, and black palette works well against stone floors, pale plaster walls, and natural timber, as well as against darker, more dramatic architectural backgrounds. Given its introspective, self-contained pose and the jewel-like quality of the surface treatment, the sculpture functions equally as a contemplative focal point or as a major decorative centrepiece.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

The hexagonal cell palette can be adjusted to suit a specific interior scheme: cells can be finished in alternative colour combinations, reduced to a monochrome treatment, or left entirely in natural patinated bronze for a more restrained result. The scale of the piece can also be modified to suit your space. For commissions inspired by the work of Fabrizio Corneli or other contemporary sculptors working with surface and geometry, we welcome a conversation before ordering. Contact us with your requirements and we will confirm lead times and pricing accordingly.
