A cast resin table top, supplied with one blade to stand it on. The slab is thin in section and rippled across its whole upper face, with an edge that runs almost straight and dips slightly where the ripples reach it. The blade that comes with it is the same clear resin, rectangular in plan and set in from one end, and it is one of the two a slab this long wants. There is no apron, no rail and no frame. Both pieces are colourless and take their whole outline from the light caught along their edges.
That length is a long way for a thin slab to travel, and the whole design depends on the slab staying honest. Its section runs constant the full length with nothing added underneath: no apron, no rail, no frame. The blade is set in from an end, and with one of them under it most of the length reaches out unsupported, which is why the second is wanted before the top carries anything. The blade is rectangular in plan, cast in the same clear material, and as thin as the span allows so it reads as glass. The top face is rippled across its whole width, which is the only worked surface on the piece; the edge runs nearly straight and dips where a ripple reaches it.
Once a second blade is under it the top makes a long dining table, and it needs a room of generous length. Blades set in from the ends leave a chair free almost anywhere along the length, which is the practical argument for supporting a top this way. Colourless resin takes its tone from the floor beneath, so a pale timber or stone floor lifts it and a dark one turns it grey. Indoor use only.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The slab flatness is the slow part. Three elements are left to you. The length is quoted to whatever you need, the slab is offered tinted, and the blade can be set further in or further out along it. The second blade is quoted separately, and a top of this length needs it. Overall length and top thickness are cut to your figures. For a matching group, the ripple across the length of the slab is set once and carried through it. In transit the unsupported middle of the slab is boxed away from the sides; four people to set it down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A long rippled top on a clear blade waits for its second support among our art furniture; the slab itself suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a long refectory-style room among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
