This cast resin low table is a slab that behaves differently top and bottom. The upper face is flat and worked into shallow ripples across its whole area, so it reads as a level surface with movement in it. The underside is not flat at all: it is sculpted into deep rippled facets that draw inward and downward to a keel running the length of the piece. Colourless and water-clear throughout, and the sculpted underside is polished to a mirror.
The two faces of this slab do opposite jobs and that is the design. The upper face is flat enough to use and rippled enough to catch light in bands across its whole area, so it reads as a working surface with movement in it. Turn your attention underneath and the material is doing something else entirely: deep facets draw inward and downward, gathering to a keel that runs the length of the piece, and every one of them is polished to a mirror. From a seat you see the underside and the floor through it at once. At this mass the piece reads as a single block of ice.
This is a substantial low table and it needs clearance on every side, with room to walk round it comfortably. The sculpted underside is half the object, so it wants to be seen from a seat and not pushed against a sofa where the keel disappears. A plain rug or a plain floor serves it. It is very heavy and should be placed once. Indoors only.
Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. The sculpted underside is the slow part. Three points are open. The plan comes first, from this rectangle through to an oval or a plan with one edge drawn in, and a very long slab is made in sections with a visible join. The keel is second, from this deep run to a shallow one that leaves the underside nearly flat. And the ripple on the top face, which can be pronounced or almost absent. Plan and height are quoted to whatever you need. For a matching group, the ripple across the top is set once and carried through it. It ships with the sculpted underside protected and wants four people to position it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Ice-like and keeled underneath, this low table is listed with our art furniture; its clear mass sits among our resin sculptures, and the faceted underside among our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
