Shaped as a drum, this round cast resin coffee table has a level rippled top. Its whole side is eroded: deep hollows and irregular arches are cut into the mass, some breaking right through so the drum reads as a ring of pillars in places and a solid wall in others. Held within the clear resin, scattered at different depths, are small amber inclusions the size and shape of seeds, and they are visible from every side. Nothing on the piece is opaque and the erosion follows no repeating pattern.
Erosion is easy to overdo and this one is judged. The hollows are deep enough that several break clear through the wall, so the drum is a ring of pillars in places and a solid mass in others, and the transition between the two happens gradually round the circumference rather than at any point you could name. The top is left level and rippled, which anchors the whole thing. Inside the clear resin, at every depth, sit small amber inclusions the size of seeds; they are visible from all sides and each is read at a different focus, so the mass has a measurable thickness to the eye. Nothing on the piece is opaque, and the erosion follows no repeating pattern, and no two pieces carry it the same way.
It is a round coffee table to sit among sofas and chairs, and it works from any approach. The erosion breaks clear through in places, so it should stand on a hard floor where those openings are read against something rather than sunk into a deep rug. The amber inclusions want light passing through the mass, which a window gives it and a corner does not. Very heavy. Indoors.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. Most of it is the eroded side. Three choices are open. The resin is offered tinted, the inclusions can be left out or set more densely, and how far the erosion breaks through the wall can be dialled up or held back. The diameter is quoted to your figure. You set the top diameter and you set the overall height. Where the arches open in the side agrees within one order and not from one to the next. The crate is built around the arch openings round the side, and four people should carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A drum eroded into arches gives our art furniture a round coffee table; the worn form suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a window-lit room among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
