A colourless cast resin stool shaped as a crumpled block. The block is not straight sided. Soft vertical folds run the entire height, gathering into creases at the corners and easing out across the faces, so each face reads as one long downward pull rather than a row of separate flutes. The top is cut flat and level. The polish is mirror bright on the crest of every fold, so the piece is read as much through what it reflects as through its own outline.
This is a block that has been made to look as though it were caught mid movement. Soft vertical folds run the entire height, gathering into creases at the corners and easing out flat across the middle of each face, and the pattern is different on every stool. The top is cut level and plain, which is the only regular thing about it and what makes the rest read as irregular. Being colourless and solid, the piece is looked at as much for what it reflects as for its own outline: the crest of every fold is polished bright enough to carry a highlight, the hollows stay darker, and against a plain floor the whole block resolves into a set of vertical light and dark bands.
At 43cm the block serves as a seat, as a side table beside a low chair, or as a stand for something else, and its weight keeps it from shifting when someone sits. Being water clear it borrows the tone of the floor and of whatever stands near it, so a plain ground shows the folds and a patterned one competes with them. Light from one side is what makes the creases legible. It will not hold a full glass level unless something flat is put on it first. Indoors only.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The finishing rather than the making is the slow part. Three things are open. The depth of the folding, from this pronounced gathering through to a shallow rippling that reads almost as a plain block. The plan, square as here or round, which suits the folds differently because a round plan lets them run continuously with no corner to gather in. And whether the top stays level, which it must if the piece is to be used as a table, or is left folded across like the sides. Plan and height are each named by you. It is heavy for its size and ships in one crate with the top face protected; two people should lift a solid block of this volume. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Folded as if crumpled by hand, this clear block joins our art furniture as a stool; its rippling surface relates to our organic sculptures, and the colourless casting to our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
