A large cradle of cobalt resin, one end rising high and the other a little over half as high. It is combed along the whole of its outer wall and over the inside of both ends, and both ends are torn away into standing points. Cobalt is strongest along the crests of the combing and clears through the hollow, so the piece is dark where it is ridged. A white slab is supplied and runs under most of the width of the cradle.
Combing a wall this size is a decision about rhythm over a distance most pieces never have to cover. On a wall this size the combing has to keep its spacing through two changes of direction, and the eye finds a mistake in it from right across a room. Combing a wall this large without losing the curve is the whole difficulty, since every stroke has to turn with the wall as it climbs into the torn ends. The combing is polished in the grooves as well as on the crests, which is what keeps a piece this dark from going grey.
This wants a sideboard to itself, with nothing else on the surface. A pale wall is essential here, because a cobalt piece against a dark one is an outline and nothing more. Light across the combing breaks into a run of bright lines, and it is the only thing that separates the crests from the hollow. The outline is what carries and the combing is not, which suits a piece meant to be walked past.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The combing is cut closer, the cobalt is lightened, and the slab is made in a darker tone instead. Comb it closer and the wall is left thicker to take the cuts, so the cradle gains weight as it gains detail. On request the torn ends are drawn out into longer points or trimmed back toward the rim. The cradle is always lifted by the base of its curve, never by either torn end, and the slab is carried flat. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A cobalt cradle combed inside and out, its two ends torn into standing points, settles among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
