Vivid cobalt blue fills the stem and the bottom of the cup of this fan, and pales to azure as its two ribbed wings open out. One wing stretches away low to the side and clears almost to colourless at its end; the second rises in a long curve and finishes in a curled, ribbed edge. The cup between them is pale inside, its torn rim lifting to a small point in the middle. A black marble block carries the whole fan.
The blue here is saturated rather than soft, and the fan is built around that. In the stem and the bottom of the cup it is a deep, vivid cobalt; up through the ribbed wings it lightens to azure, and at their ends it gives way to clear resin, so the colour runs out of the piece in the same direction as the movement. The ribs make the change readable: each ridge holds a slightly paler line than the hollow beside it, so the blue seems to step lighter rib by rib. The wings are drawn unequally, one reaching and one climbing, and the black block below gives the cobalt a dark ground to rise from.
Daylight arriving from a window behind or beside it does the most for it, lighting the azure in the wings and making the cobalt glow, so a sideboard by a window suits it better than a dark corner. Leave room along the surface for the reaching wing and space above for the climbing one. Against white or pale grey paintwork the strength of the blue tells, and in a room that already uses navy or indigo it brings that colour up to full brightness.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Each fan is supplied singly, standing on a block of marble of its own. As a commission the cobalt can be taken darker towards navy or lighter towards sky, the azure carried right to the wing tips or cleared earlier, and the wings drawn out longer; any stone can be chosen for the block. It travels with both wings wrapped and braced, the block boxed alongside, and the fan is lowered onto the block on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Vivid cobalt in the stem paling to azure along two unequal ribbed wings brings this fan to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
