Cobalt Blue Fanned Spiral Resin Sculpture (63cm) with ribbed, twisting fans in blue and icy white tones on a black base, set against a plain light background.
Cobalt Blue Fanned Spiral Resin Sculpture - 63cm $2,30600
Description

Vivid cobalt blue outlines the whole of this resin sculpture: it runs along each rib, edges each rim and floods the narrow stem, while the faces between the ribs stay a pale, icy blue. Three ribbed fans twist up from the stem, the first sweeping out sideways into a pointed wing, the next climbing to a flared rim and the smallest curling over at the very top with a bright blue edge. Black marble forms the base.

Cobalt Lines Drawn Over Pale, Icy Fans

Here the colour behaves like ink in a drawing. Rather than tinting the fans evenly, the cobalt follows the ribs, the rims and the twist of the stem, so every line of the form is picked out in strong blue and the surfaces between them stay light. That contrast makes the ribbing the main event: on the wing the lines sweep round in long parallel curves, on the climbing fan they lattice together, and at the summit they tighten into the small, bright curl. The result reads as a sketch of a spiral in blue.

Rising 63cm overall, it is at home on a desk, a console or a reception desk in an office, a studio or a modern living room, where its strong blue can act as the room's accent. It looks sharpest against white or very pale grey, and side light makes the cobalt lines stand out from the pale faces. Give it a clear surface so the outline of the three fans reads cleanly. Indoor use only.

Cobalt Strength, Stone and Moving It

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. A commission can make the cobalt deeper, towards ultramarine, or spread it across the faces for a solid blue, and the stem can be kept clear if a lighter foot is wanted. Instead of the black, the block can be cut from pale grey or white marble. Handle it by the base, holding the marble from below while the stem stays upright, and never take it up by the wing or the curl. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Cobalt lines tracing a three-fan resin spiral lead from here to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
