Description

A long colourless range with bright yellow running along the ridge lines themselves, deepening toward amber at a few of the edges. The body of the casting stays clear everywhere else, so the colour draws the skyline the way a pen would. Seven summits rise along the length, the highest near the middle, and it stands on no base.

The Colour Is on the Edges, Not in the Body

Colour in a clear body is read through the depth of material and is therefore always soft. Colour on an edge is not: it sits where the form turns, which is the one place on a casting with almost no depth at all, and it comes back as a line rather than as a wash. The effect is closer to drawing than to tinting - the skyline is traced instead of coloured - and it only works if the yellow stops exactly at the turn. Let it run down the slope and it becomes a smear.

The yellow line is what is seen from across a room and the clear body is what is seen close to, so the piece works at both distances and wants a position that allows both: a long console in a room people cross, a hall, a landing. Backlighting sets the line alight and leaves the body almost invisible, which is the most dramatic way to show it. Give it a long stretch of surface with nothing crowding its ends.

The Line, the Span, and Delivery

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. The yellow sits on the ridge lines where the form turns rather than in the body, so it draws the skyline instead of tinting the casting. The line is taken to an amber, a blue or a green, the colour is carried into the body as well, and other lengths are made to order. Carrying it into the body gives an ordinary tinted range and loses the drawn line. It is crated end to end with each summit packed apart, and two people move it without tipping. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A skyline traced in yellow along its ridges belongs with our organic sculptures; yellow kept to the very edges of the ridges draws it into our resin sculptures, and a drawn line seen across a room suits our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
