Clear Windswept Abstract Resin Sculpture on Marble Plinth - 250cm, twisting clear form on a black block atop a brown, white-veined marble plinth, plain light background.
Clear Windswept Abstract Resin Sculpture on Marble Plinth - 250cm $4,38700
Description

A clear resin form that twists upward from a narrow foot, its folds running round it like drapery caught in a gust, and opens at the top into a crest swept out to one side as if by the wind. It is set on a black block, and the block stands on a tall plinth of brown marble veined in white, both included, so the whole piece rises as one tall column.

Clear Folds Swept Sideways Above Brown Marble

The form is abstract, but it borrows the language of drapery: folds that wrap and lift, a hem that seems to flick out at the foot, a crest blown to one side. In clear resin those folds become lines of highlight and shadow, and the eye reads the movement before it reads the shape. The marble below is everything the resin is not, dark, veined, heavy and still, and the black block between them keeps the clear form from sitting straight on the stone.

At 250cm it suits a double-height hall, a hotel lobby or the turn of a grand stair, where it reads from far across the room and again from up close. Give it a plain wall or open space behind, so that the clear folds are not lost against pattern, and a spotlight from above to make the crest gleam.

Plinth Stone, Tint and Installation

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The marble can be changed for black, white or grey stone, and the plinth made to another height to suit the room. The resin can be left clear or tinted smoke, amber or pale blue, and the crest swept further out or kept close. It travels crated, the form packed apart from the block and plinth, and an installer sets it up on site, levelling the plinth before the form goes on. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear form swept sideways by an unseen wind belongs with our abstract sculptures; folds of clear resin above dark marble suit our resin sculptures, and a tall column to rise through a stairwell joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
