Description

Colourless from its churned heart to the tips of its spray, this splash throws a crown outward and upward. On one side an arm climbs high, throwing off curved spurs and a few round openings, and draws out to a fine, wavering point that hooks over at its end; on the far side a second arm, holed through again and again, breaks up at its top into short spikes. Fingers of spray of every height ring the rim between them, and low spikes reach out sideways near the foot. The whole crown stands on a round black bowl base, wide and shallow, rising from the centre of its flat top.

A Colourless Crown Rising From a Black Bowl

Without a tint, the splash is drawn entirely in light. Every edge of the clear resin carries a bright line, the round openings through both arms become small windows on the room, and the hooked point of the trailing arm is a single glinting stroke against the wall. The resin is thickest in the churned heart, where it gathers the most reflection, and it thins along the arms and fingers until the spray tips are barely there. On the black bowl the clear water has a dark, solid shape beneath it, which makes its outline easy to read across a room.

This is a floor piece for a broad space: a hotel reception, a wide entrance hall or a long room with space to spare at one end, with clear floor to either side, because the arms reach out past the rim of the bowl. Turn the crown towards the way people come in, and keep the wall behind it plain or dark so that the clear spray stands out. Light falling from one side runs along every finger. Indoor use only.

The Bowl Base, a Tint and Moving It

In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The price includes the round black bowl base, which is made to order with the splash. On commission the resin can take a tint, gathered in the heart and clearing along the arms, the crown can be opened wider or held more upright, and the trailing arm can be given a fuller hook at its point. Move the splash by its churned heart, with hands beneath the foot and never on an arm or a finger. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
