The plinth is a cylinder machined from high-clarity resin rather than cast to shape, and three broad bands of wave are worked round it at intervals up its height. The bands are left frosted where everything either side of them is polished clear, so the piece reads as three cloudy rings floating in a colourless column. Its top is flat and polished.
A wave worked round a cylinder has to close on itself, which is the whole difficulty: the pattern is cut with the work turning, and the last crest has to meet the first at exactly the same height or the band reads as a spiral instead of a ring. Each of the three is cut separately and then left frosted rather than polished, because the frost is what makes the wave visible at all - polished, it would vanish into the clear body around it. The rest of the cylinder is brought to an optical polish afterwards, and the boundary between frost and polish is worked to a clean line, since a feathered edge there reads as a mistake rather than a decision.
At 48cm this is a plinth for something you want at coffee-table height rather than at eye level: a bowl, a small figure, a plant. Stand it next to a chair, alongside a sofa, or in a group of two or three set at different heights. The frosted bands are what carry it, and side light does more for them than a downlight ever will. On a dark floor the clear sections go and the three rings appear to hang on their own, which is the effect worth arranging for.
Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Band count is set at order and can go from one broad wave to five narrow ones, and the wave depth is open. The contrast can be reversed so the bands are polished and the body frosted, and a tint is offered through the whole cylinder in a smoke or an amber. Diameter and height are cut to order, and a set at three heights is scheduled as one lot so the bands align across them. It travels upright as one machined piece in a fitted crate and is a one-person carry. The frosted bands are the part that marks, so the sleeve comes off last. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Frosted waves floating in a clear column belong with our organic sculptures; a cylinder machined from high-clarity resin leads to our resin sculptures, and a low plinth for a sofa's end joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
