In this clear cast resin sculpture of water a column of rippled water rises from a spreading splash base, turns through a right angle at the top and runs out horizontally as two parallel prongs with a gap between them. It is clear resin throughout, polished all over, and there is no surface on it and nothing it is meant to hold.
The ripple runs the full height of the column, through the turn and out along both prongs, modelled into the mould so it never stops at a line. The splash base is cast as part of the column and is what makes the piece stand: its spread is worked to the reach of the prongs above so the whole form is in balance. Every face is polished from a coarse grade through to a mirror, including the inner faces of the gap, which are the hardest to reach and the first thing anyone looks into.
At 80cm it stands on the floor at a height to meet the eye of anyone seated, and the two prongs reach out at the top, so it needs clear air on that side rather than a wall against it. It suits a hall, a landing or an office, and light from one side is what carries the ripple down the column. The splash base spreads wide at the floor, so allow for it against a skirting or a corner.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. Most of it is the splash base. There are three open questions. The prong reach is drawn to order, a colour can be taken through the material, and the splash base is spread further where a broader footing is wanted. The prong reach and the overall height are open figures. Batched together, the pieces are made so the reach of the two prongs corresponds. The packing is shaped to the two prong ends and the splash base, and moving it is a four-person job. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A jet of water frozen as it turns belongs with our abstract sculptures; the flowing form sits with our organic sculptures, and the polished clear mass with our resin sculptures.

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
