Description

Curls of thin wood tumble through this upright block of clear resin in a loose diagonal drift, from just below its top edge to a little above the foot. Some are rolled tight into rings, a few are pressed into squarish loops and others open out into springy spirals, while near the top one is stacked into a tapering roll. Every curl is honey brown, streaked along its length with darker grain.

The block is cast in high-clarity resin with flat, polished faces and sharp, square edges, so the curls can be traced from the front, from each narrow end or by peering in from above. The wood is thin enough to turn amber and almost translucent at its rims, and its fine lengthwise grain and dark flecks stay crisp even at close range. Rings, loops and spirals hang at different depths, some overlapping, and the open spirals trace thread-like outlines against the clear. No two curls roll alike, so each block holds an arrangement of its own.

Slim from front to back, it stands neatly on a console, a sideboard or a deep bookshelf, where the curls can be studied from a step away. At 39cm it makes a well-judged accent for a hall table, catching the eye of anyone on their way past. A pale wall behind keeps the honey browns warm, while a lamp to one side draws out the grain of each curl. Indoor use only.

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Your payment secures a single block, which we sell individually and begin making once you confirm. Commissioned bespoke, the curls can be packed more densely, thinned to a handful or replaced with dried leaves or seed heads, and the block can be cast in other proportions for a particular alcove. Foam-wrapped and boxed in a fitted carton, it needs nothing but unpacking before it takes up its post. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
