A clear resin tree, the trunk leaning out of a tall black plinth and opening into a canopy of branches, every one of them drawn separately and carried well out to one side. Colourless from root to leaf, so the black of the stone underneath is the only tone anywhere in the piece. A tall black marble plinth comes with it.
A tree in a colourless material has no bark and no leaf colour to work with, so the whole of it has to be got across by branching alone. What makes the canopy read as dense is that each branch is seen through every branch behind it, and nothing at all has been added to the material to achieve that. A tree in a colourless body means every branch is read through every branch behind it, and the canopy gets its density from overlap rather than from anything added to the material. Polished over the whole of it, the undersides of the branches included, and that is where the hours go.
Floor work, and a room with height: the canopy starts above head height and wants somewhere it can be walked under. Give it a plain wall to read against. A window behind a colourless tree turns the branches into a tangle. Light from one side sets every branch edge alight and throws the whole canopy onto the wall as a second drawing. It reads from across a room by the lean alone, and the individual leaves are what you get for standing underneath it.
Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The spread can be drawn in, the canopy can be built out further, and other plinth heights are available. Draw the spread in and the stone is cut to match, because a canopy reaching this far needs a counterweight beneath it and not a foot. Two crates, put together on site: the plinth is set and levelled before the tree goes onto it. Three people. The canopy is the fragile half and nobody should take hold of a branch. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A resin tree bending out over black stone belongs to our organic sculptures; the branching casting joins our resin sculptures, and a tall room suits it among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
