The branches of this pine leave the trunk in tiers and carry clusters of fine needles at their ends, the lowest tier reaching furthest of all. Colourless everywhere, and the clusters read palest of all because each is made of separate points. No stone comes with it; the root mass is cut flat and does the standing.
A cluster of needles is not one shape but several hundred, and each has to keep clearance from its neighbours or the tier closes into a mass. That clearance is what sets the spread: the tiers are drawn far enough apart for every cluster to stand free, and the tree comes out wider than it stands as a consequence of that rather than as an aim. Drawing a needle in a clear body means it returns its own edge, so a cluster together goes pale in a way no pigment would manage. Polished along every branch, with the needle tips left crisp.
Floor work for an atrium, and at this width the plan is what has to be found rather than the height. Any plain wall will do. At a spread like this the room behind is half of what you see. Side light sets every cluster alight at once. Straight-on light returns grey. Across a room it is one pale horizon; from underneath it resolves into a thousand separate points.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. If you would rather fewer tiers, the pine is drawn with fewer from the outset, and the spread can be brought in with them. Take a tier out and the ones above are re-spaced down the trunk, since what makes it a pine is the gap between them. Trunk first and the outer branches after, over two crates and an hour on site. Four people, because everything on it is long and none of it is strong. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear pine layered in tiers of needles belongs to our organic sculptures; the layered needles join our resin sculptures, and an atrium gives it the spread it needs among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
