A slim boat of clear resin, pointed and gently upswept at both ends. The outer walls are smooth and glassy, and the inside is worked into fine, frosted ridges that run across the hull like woven reed, so the boat looks filled with texture while its outline stays crisp and clean.
The piece plays two surfaces against each other. Outside, the resin is polished smooth, so the hull reads as a clean clear line; inside, it is worked into fine ridges that catch the light and turn white, so the interior reads as a soft frosted texture seen through the walls. The ridges run across the hull rather than along it, which makes the boat look woven. It is small and precise, and the pointed ends are finished sharp. The two ends rise just enough to read as a boat.
It suits a desk, a shelf, a console or a sideboard, and it is narrow enough for a ledge in front of books. Put it where the light falls from one side or behind, so the frosted ridges glow against the clear walls. A dark surface beneath it sharpens its outline. It works as a small still life on its own or beside other clear pieces.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. It can be tinted, a blue, an amber or a green, and the ridges inside can be combed finer or made bolder, or the hull made longer for a sideboard. A tint gathers in the ridges and turns the interior a deeper shade than the walls, which makes the boat look full. Several can be ordered in different tints to lie together. It comes in a small padded carton, and it is lifted out by the hull, never by either of its sharp points. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A slim clear hull lined inside with frosted ridges like woven reed leads on to our organic sculptures, our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
