Rounded lobes twist around the centre of this clear resin rock in a slow swirl, each one plump and softly squared: one tilts over the top, another sweeps out beside it, a third juts from the middle and a broad one gathers them all at the foot. Most of the surface is frosted and crystalline, but where a lobe is flattened it opens into a clear window, and fine slivers in tan, rust and pale straw lie within.
The whole of the rock is imported clear resin. Over most of it the surface keeps a crisp, sugary frosting that throws back highlights like hoarfrost, while the flat windows are polished glass-clear, so the eye moves from a glittering skin to a view deep into the form. The slivers are fine and curved like dry husks, from pale straw through tan to a rusty brown, and each sits alone in its window. The twist of the lobes and the arrangement of the slivers belong to each rock alone.
At 41cm the swirl of lobes is best placed on a sideboard, a console or a study desk with room to walk around it, so each window can be found from a different side. Dark timber or a deep-coloured wall makes the frosted skin read very white, and a lamp beside it sets the slivers glinting in their windows. Indoor use only.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. More of the lobes can be opened into clear windows, or the frosting kept almost unbroken; the slivers themselves can be set more thickly or omitted altogether. Other sizes are available to order. The rock is sold singly. It is boxed in a fitted crate, and the safe way to lift it is with both hands beneath the broad lobe at its foot, never by a projecting lobe. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Twisting lobes of frosted resin with clear windows join our resin sculptures; the swirl itself places it among our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
