The round top carries a spiral of ripples that widen as they turn outward, and its rim stands thick and unpolished right around the edge. It is clear throughout, so the pedestal reads up through the middle of it and the floor reads through the overhang. Beneath, a matt black pedestal waists in and flares again to a round foot, fluted the whole way and scalloped where the flutes run out.
Cutting a spiral into a clear disc gives you an object with no fixed appearance, and that is the whole argument for doing it. Every ripple catches from one side and releases from the other, so the pattern fills and empties as anyone walks round the table, and what fills it is whatever happens to be underneath. Against the black of the pedestal the spiral goes dense and legible; past the edge of the pedestal, where only the floor is behind it, the same cut almost disappears. The rim is left as the cutter leaves it for the same reason, because a polished edge would return one clean line all the way round and close the figure off. The pedestal is fluted rather than plain so that it has a grain of its own to be read against, and finished matt so that it gives nothing back.
It wants the middle of a room with a clear walk all the way round, because the spiral only does its work as you move past it and a table pushed to a wall gives up half of that. A pale floor lifts the clear top and a dark one sinks the pedestal into it, so the floor is worth choosing first. Overhead light throws the ripples down onto the pedestal, where they can be read as shadow rather than as reflection; light from one side does the opposite and picks out the rim. Chairs go in anywhere, since a round top has no head and the pedestal leaves the whole edge free.
Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Three things are yours to set. The spiral is cut to whatever pitch you ask for, the flutes on the pedestal are counted to order, and the pedestal is offered in a gloss black instead of the matt. The diameter of the top and the height to the surface are open figures and are quoted to your room. Where a pair is wanted, order them together, because the spiral is set out once and carried across both rather than drawn twice. The top and the pedestal travel as two crates and meet on site, which is what makes a round top of this size manageable at a doorway at all. Four people, and the pedestal goes down first and is levelled before the top is set on it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A dining table with a spiral cut into its clear top belongs to our art furniture; the cut spiral links it to our organic sculptures, and its fluted pedestal suits our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
