This low table is a very shallow clear dish whose face is worked into swirls that wind outward from more than one point and flatten as they reach the rim. The rim itself lifts a little all the way round, so the top is a saucer rather than a disc, and it stands on short clear cylindrical legs set well in from the edge.
Diameter and depth pull against each other on a piece like this: a wide plan with only a slight dish means the swirls have a very long run and almost no fall, so they read as a drawn pattern seen through water rather than as carved relief. They are not concentric and they do not start at the geometric centre, which is what keeps the face from looking turned on a lathe. The lifted rim is the only firm line on the piece and it catches light all the way round. The legs are the same clear material and short enough to be read as feet rather than as supports.
It sits under standard coffee-table height, which suits a deep sofa and a room where the sight line across it matters. Its broad round plan makes it a piece for the centre of a large seating group rather than a side position, and it can be approached from every direction. The shallow dish means anything set on it stays where it is put, which is useful on a surface this wide. It gains most on a hard pale floor, where the swirls read against the boards or stone below; over a dark rug the whole face goes flat. Indoor use only.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Leg height is the specification that changes what the piece is for: as made it is a low table for a deep seat, and longer legs bring it up to conventional coffee-table height, which reads much less like a saucer. Rim depth is set from almost flat to a pronounced dish, a deeper dish holding more shadow round the edge. Diameters are made to order and the swirl is drawn afresh at each size rather than scaled. On handling, the width is the problem rather than the weight: a disc this broad has to be carried flat by four people, one to each quarter of the rim, and it must not be tilted onto an edge at any point, since the rim is the thinnest part of the piece. It travels face up on a purpose-built pallet with the legs packed separately and bolted on once the top is down and level. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Swirls drawn across a broad clear saucer put this low table with our art furniture; made for a living room, the saucer table joins our indoor sculptures, and its water-like swirling ties it to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
