Chest out and square on all four legs, the cat in this resin sculpture has its head turned to one side as though something has caught its attention. Behind it the tail swings out and up in one long curve, thickening slightly towards the tip, and the tip finishes at about the height of its own back. The body is optically clear and polished, with the ears, the muzzle and the paws the only worked detail on it.
An upright tail is the one element on this animal with nothing under it, and it is also the tallest thing on the piece, so it decides both the silhouette and the risk. Section is the answer: the root is cut heavier than a cat's tail would really be and the taper is carried out slowly, so that the shape reads as a tail from across a room and survives a knock close to. The tip is rounded rather than pointed for the same reason. The turned head is the other exacting passage. It is a small movement - twenty degrees at most - and the neck has to shorten on one side and stretch on the other for it to look intended rather than accidental, which is judged on the finished animal against a straight one.
A standing cat reads from the side and from three-quarters, and the turned head only makes sense from the side it is turned away from, so put it where people pass rather than face it. At 40cm it suits a hall chest, a wide shelf or the floor beside a chair, and at this size the cat can sit straight on a rug with no surface under it at all. Give it light from the side: a downlight lands on the back and leaves the face and the chest flat. On a dark surface the tail reads as a line and the animal separates cleanly.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. Tail set is decided at order, upright as here, curled round the forelegs, or laid along the ground. The head turn is open in either direction. Colour options are a smoke, a green, an amber and a pale rose carried through the material, or a frosted surface in place of the polish. The stretching cat is made to match this one at a greater scale. Sizes above and below this are both cut to order. One fitted crate holds it upright with the tail cased, nothing is assembled on site, and one person lifts it under the chest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A cat standing with its head turned aside belongs with our cat statues; a tail raised in one long curve leads to our animal sculptures, and a polished colourless body joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
