Clear Stacked Faceted Cast Resin Column Table, 70cm, two vertically faceted resin drums stacked with a clean horizontal seam, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Stacked Faceted Cast Resin Column Table - 70cm $5,80500
Description

This cast resin faceted column table is two faceted drums standing one on the other. The upper is the wider of the two and its facets are cut close and vertical, running the full height and meeting the flat top in a ring of sharp points. Below it a narrower drum repeats the same cutting at a different diameter, and where the two meet there is a clean horizontal line rather than a taper. Everything is clear resin, polished on every facet, so the piece returns light from dozens of angles at once.

Facets Cut Through Two Stacked Drums

One cutting, two diameters, and the join left honest. Both drums are cut into close vertical facets that run the full height and meet the flat surfaces in a ring of sharp points. The upper drum is the wider of the two and its facets are correspondingly broad; the second repeats the pattern at a tighter radius, so the facet count reads differently on each. Where the two meet there is a clean horizontal line and no attempt to blend them into a single tapering form. Every facet is polished, which means the piece returns light from dozens of angles at once and its outline is hard to fix from any single position. Clear resin holds a facet edge like this in a way a softer material could not.

At 70cm it reaches past side-table height without coming up to a dining table, so a hall, a window or a reading corner suits it. The facets need light from more than one direction to separate, so an open position earns far more than a corner. The flat top is level and will take a lamp or a tray. It is heavy for its footprint and best placed once. For indoor use.

The Drums, the Facets, and the Order

Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The facet cutting is the slow part. There are three decisions. The resin is offered tinted, the facet pitch can be opened up or tightened, and the two drums are made to diameters you name. A single-drum version is also produced. You name the diameter and the overall height. Where two or more are wanted, the alignment of the facets between the two drums is held the same across the group. In transit the facet corners on both drums must be boxed away from the sides; two people to set it down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two faceted drums, the narrower beneath the wider, sit with our geometric sculptures; next to a reading chair it does duty for our art furniture, and its many facets suit our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
