Clear Spreading Tree Resin Sculpture - 144cm by Giant Sculptures, a wide-canopied branching form in clear resin with no base, shown on a plain light background.
Clear Spreading Tree Resin Sculpture - 144cm $7,96400
Description

A tree whose canopy reaches further across than the piece rises, the branching carried out to both sides of a short trunk. Colourless everywhere, so the only tone the piece carries is what the room puts behind it. No base comes with it. The trunk is cut flat where it turns down and the tree rests on that.

A Canopy Wider Than the Tree Stands

Past a span equal to the height a tree stops being a vertical and becomes a spread, and this one crosses that line by seven hundredths. The roots are taken back on the side opposite the reach, which is the whole of how a spread this wide is kept standing on its own plan. A canopy wider than the piece stands means the material is carrying weight outside its own footprint, and a clear body shows exactly how much of it is doing so. Polished on every member, with the cut foot taken to the same grade so the join to the floor is not a line.

Floor work for a wide room. This one is broader than it is high and the plan is what needs the space. A dark wall behind it, since a colourless canopy against a pale one simply has no outline. Light from behind puts the whole canopy into silhouette, which is the one position that shows how far it reaches. The spread carries across a room and the individual branching is a near fact.

Drawing the Span In, and a Wide Case

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. We will draw the span in, thicken the canopy, or set the trunk at another angle where it turns down to the floor. Draw the span in and the tree becomes a vertical, which is a different object at almost the same measurements. One wide crate on its side, and it is lifted out and stood straight down onto the floor. Three people, and it is the reach across that makes the lift awkward rather than anything about the weight. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear tree broader across its canopy than it is high belongs to our organic sculptures; its leafed branches join our resin sculptures, and a broad room backed by something dark gives the canopy its reach among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
