Clear Splash & Blue Branching Crest Resin Sculpture, 102cm, with a clear base cup and spiked ring rising into a cerulean blue crest, on a plain white background.
Clear Splash & Blue Branching Crest Resin Sculpture - 102cm $3,24100
Description

In this splash the colour is carried high. The cup at its foot and the ring of spikes around it are water-clear, catching only a cool cast from the blue above, and the blue enters part way up the curling flank on the left. From there it strengthens to a vivid cerulean along the bridge that crosses the top and runs on through the whole crest: the hooked limb, the limb rising to meet it, the small round eye near their foot, the tall tine and its stubby prongs. Even the three points of the low arm on the right are edged in blue.

A Clear Cup Under a Cerulean Crest

Here the usual grade of a splash is reversed. Colour would normally settle where the water is deepest, at the foot, but in this piece the cup is left clear and the blue is kept for the parts thrown highest into the air. It starts as a faint wash on the curling flank, gathers strength as the flank rolls over into the bridge, and is at its most intense in the crest, where the limbs and tines read as solid blue against the room. The clear cup beneath then looks lighter than it is, as if the whole crest were hovering over a pool of plain water.

With its colour carried high, the piece wants a spot where the crest is seen against something plain, such as a white wall, a pale stone pier or a tall window. Placed on a low plinth in a reception area or at the end of a gallery, its 102cm lifts the blue tines towards the eye of anyone approaching, while the clear cup reads almost as a pool on the plinth top. A single downlight brings out the blue in the crest and leaves the cup glittering. Indoor use only.

Where the Blue Starts, Scale and Packing

Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The blue can be made to begin up in the bridge for a lighter look, or further down the flank towards the cup, and it can be ordered deeper or softer. The cup can take a faint tint of its own, and the piece can be scaled for a particular room. Packing is a tall wooden crate with every tine wrapped, and it is handled only by the clear cup at the bottom. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Cerulean held aloft over a water-clear cup sends this crested splash to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
