Clear Smoke Triple Opening Curled Rock Resin Sculpture, 57cm, with smoke-dark clouding and three holed openings, on a black marble base, plain white background.
Clear Smoke Triple Opening Curled Rock Resin Sculpture - 57cm $2,09200
Description

A curled upright rock in clear resin, pale and nearly colourless through the head and clouded with smoke-dark ink down one side and toward the foot. Its centre is holed three times, the widest opening uppermost, and every ripple is glossy. Black marble is supplied for it to stand on.

Smoke Clouding a Clear Curled Rock

Smoke in a clear rock reads as weather: the head stays pale and almost luminous while the ink gathers down one flank and settles toward the foot, as if the stone had been stained by water running down it. The three round openings stand out sharply against the darker passages, and the rippled faces, polished all over, catch bright lines along every ridge. No two castings carry the smoke the same way, so each piece has its own darker side and its own way of meeting the light.

Its 57cm suits a console in a hall people pass, where it is seen close rather than across the room. A pale wall behind gives the smoke its contrast and keeps the openings clear; a dark one swallows the ink. Turn the darker side toward the window or a lamp, and keep tall objects away from its curl.

Heavier Smoke, Lighter Smoke, Delivery

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The smoke can be run heavier until the lower half reads almost black, or kept to a faint haze, and it can be warmed toward brown. Colour can also be banded across the middle instead. The base comes in a paler stone if the black is too much for the room. It travels in a fitted foam case with the marble boxed apart, held round the body and never by the lobes at its edge. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear curl clouded with smoke-grey joins our abstract sculptures; three openings sharp against darker passages suit our indoor sculptures, and ink settling down a rippled flank places it among our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
