A clear mountain range streaked through with smoky grey and black ink, the streaks darkest in the hollows and along the foot and paling to a few wisps near the peaks. The highest summit sits just off centre to the left, with lesser peaks on either side. The casting needs no stand and none comes with it.
Grey and black ink in clear resin reads like weather moving through mountains: dense in the valleys, thin over the heights. Here the streaks are heaviest where the range is deepest, in the hollows between the peaks and along the foot, and they fade as the slopes rise, so the summits stand out pale against their own shadow. The ink follows no pattern that can be set, which is why each casting is unique, and polishing leaves a bright line on every ridge above the darker streaks.
The streaks read best with light falling across the range rather than from behind it, so a console or a sideboard with a lamp at one end or a side window suits it well. A plain pale wall behind makes the black ink graphic and crisp. It wants a surface with real depth as well as length, and space at both ends.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The ink can be laid on heavier for a stormy range or kept to a few wisps, and blue or brown ink can stand in for the black. Other lengths are available too, and the faces can be frosted so the smoke reads as a soft drawing behind a matt skin. A long crate braced under the foot carries it, with foam round each summit, and it needs two people at the ends. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear range streaked with smoke belongs with our organic sculptures; grey ink settling in its valleys places it in our resin sculptures, and black streaks drawn crisp on plaster suit our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
