In this console two black rock forms carry a clear slab, and above each of them a second peak rises through the top, so the same broken surface appears below the slab and above it. The slab's upper face is rippled and its edge is left torn all round. The rocks and the peaks are made to one another rather than found, so the four of them read as a single outcrop the slab has been driven through.
The two pedestals are modelled as a pair rather than made independently, so the broken surface reads as continuous from one to the other, and the same texture is carried onto the two peaks. Each peak is set directly above a pedestal, so its weight runs into a support instead of across the span. The slab's ripple is taken from the upper mould and its edge is left where the material stopped, which means no two runs give the same outline. All four bearing faces are levelled together before the slab is set down for the first time.
Made for a hall or an entrance, it needs a run of wall to itself. The two peaks stand on the slab, so the usable surface is the stretch between and beyond them rather than the whole top. Each pedestal spreads wider at the floor than the slab does above it, so the space the piece needs is set by the rocks and not by the top. It bears straight down through two points, which suits a hard floor.
Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The twin bedding is what fills it. Three aspects can be specified. The rocks can be finished in any tone, and the peaks can be left off for a clear run of top. You give the slab reach and the peak height. Send one order for the group and the pairing of the rocks stays even across it. The two peaks and the two pedestals are each boxed on their own, and the slab travels flat with its torn edge protected the whole way round. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Two black rocks driven through a clear slab, a peak above each, give our art furniture a hall console; the outcrop suits our organic sculptures, the torn slab our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
