Description

This table column is a hollow cylinder of resin, open at the top, frosted from the rim down to about half its height and clearing towards the foot, with fine branches and their bronze and pale leaves set into the thickness of the wall so they are read through it from every side. The price is for one column and no top comes with it.

Real Branches Set Into a Hollow Wall

The branches are held in position while the wall is built up around them in passes, so they sit within the thickness of the material rather than against its inner or outer face, and the upper half is frosted, the frosting fading out towards the foot. Holding the wall even round a form this tall is the difficult part, and a thin patch would read as a bright band. The inner face is polished as carefully as the outer one, since an open column is looked down into. The rim is worked back by hand until no point on it will catch, and the foot is faced flat so the column stands without packing.

At 71cm this is table-column height and it is used as a base under a top of your own, or set alone as a piece in a hall or an alcove. The branches need light through the wall to be read, so it belongs where light reaches it from the side rather than in a corner. The open mouth sits at hand height and can be reached into from standing, and the foot stands flat on a hard floor without packing.

One Column, the Branches, and What Comes With It

Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The branch work takes most of it. Three things are open at order. The branches are chosen at order, the wall can be made heavier, and a tint can be taken through the material. The column diameter and the column height are named by you. The spread of the branches is common to a single order and particular to it. The crate is built so nothing touches the open column mouth and the branch tips; two people take it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Bronze leaves held in a frosted wall give our art furniture a column to set a top on; its branches suit our organic sculptures, and its hollow casting our resin sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
