This bar stool carries a clear resin seat on a chromed column. The seat is a shallow shell in clear resin, dished for sitting and carrying a set of olive streaks that run through the material rather than over it, so they shift as you move round the piece. It sits on a chromed steel column with a gas lift, and a lever is fitted under the seat on the right. A chromed footring stands off the column at shin height, and the whole thing rises from a wide chromed disc that keeps the stool steady at full extension.
This piece is half sculpture and half mechanism, and the two halves are held to different standards. The seat is a shallow resin shell, dished for sitting, and the olive streaks run through the thickness of it rather than sitting on the surface, so they move as you move and cannot be scuffed off. Its underside is flat and true where it meets the column, with a fixing plate that stays tight in use. Below that nothing is cast: the column is chromed steel with a gas lift and a lever under the seat on the right, the footring is a separate chromed ring standing off at shin height, and the base is a wide chromed disc. Everything under the seat is chosen for how it behaves with a person on it.
At 107cm at full extension this bar stool suits a counter or an island, and the disc base means it needs a clear circle of floor rather than a corner. The footring matters in use: without one a stool at this height leaves the feet hanging, and with one it is comfortable for a whole meal. The clear seat with its olive streaks reads best against a plain counter front; a busy splashback behind it will show through. Chrome sits easily with steel appliances. Indoors only.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The column assembly is the slow part. Three things are worth deciding early. The seat can be tinted and the streaking can be laid in another colour or left out entirely. The column can be supplied in brushed steel instead of chrome, and a fixed column can be fitted in place of the gas lift if a set height is preferred. The seat height at rest and the overall width are open figures. A group ordered at one time will carry the olive streaking in the seat evenly. The footring and the disc base must go in padded, and two people are needed to place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A streaked clear seat on a chromed lift belongs to our art furniture; its clean lines suit our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the stool our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
