Clear Scaly Cone & Pearly Leaf Block Resin Sculpture - 24cm
Clear Scaly Cone & Pearly Leaf Block Resin Sculpture - 24cm $1,68800
Description

This clear resin block is filled from top to bottom with a dense, multicoloured botanical medley: a long, dark seed pod at the top with two small, scaly brown cones beneath it, a stem of pale, pearly white leaves rising through the middle, and feathery fronds in a soft copper-pink. Towards the foot, round coral-orange leaves overlap beside a shaggy burnt-orange flower, while tiny coral-red globe flowers on thin stalks peep out along the left edge.

Scaly Cones, Pearly Leaves and Copper Fronds

Its glassy faces and crisp edges are polished in imported clear resin, and the depth of the block lets the contents sit in several planes, some close to the front face and some well back. Viewed at an angle, the side faces reflect the arrangement and seem to multiply its colours. The cones keep each of their woody scales, the white leaves are so thin they look like tissue paper, and the copper fronds are as fine as feathers. No two blocks repeat the mix exactly, so each has its own balance of browns, whites and corals.

Upright and fairly shallow, it sits well on a desk, a console or a bookshelf, and it looks good from more than one side, so it can stand near the end of a shelf where it is seen at an angle. At 24cm it suits a side table or a bedside cabinet with room for a lamp beside it. Warm lamplight brings out the copper and orange, while daylight keeps the white leaves crisp. Indoor use only.

One Botanical Block, Made for You and Boxed

Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. A single block is made for each order once it has been placed. Commissioned bespoke, the mix can lean towards cones and pods, towards pale leaves alone, or towards bright flowers, and the block can be cast at another size or in a gently tinted resin. Wrapped in foam and boxed with its edges guarded, it can be put out on display straight from the box. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Scaly cones among pearly leaves and copper fronds make this upright block a fitting addition to our resin sculptures, our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
