Description

Rounded and high at the left, this clear resin rock slopes away along its length in one long, uneven line, lifts into a small shoulder and then drops at the right-hand end, while a shallow arch opens beneath it near the foot. Its surface is crinkled and glittering like packed snow, and slender rust-brown flecks and fine threads are scattered through the clear body, some curled and some straight. It comes with its base of solid wood in a deep brown.

Rust Threads in a Long Sloping Clear Hill

The rock is shaped in imported clear resin, its outer faces rough, rippled and frosted, while the resin within stays bright enough to reveal every fleck. The flecks are thin and papery, rust-brown with darker edges, and they sit at different depths and angles, so a few catch the eye at once while others appear only as you move. The base is solid wood with a strong, wavy grain in deep brown, smooth on top, and its ends are cut on a slant, so the long rock sits steadily on a wide footprint.

Its long, sloping line looks well on a credenza or a sideboard, its high end facing the door so the eye runs down the slope, and it sits just as comfortably on a reception desk or a long console. The deep brown wood is a good match for walnut furniture and warm colours, and lamplight from one side catches the rust flecks against the clear. Indoor use only.

Flecks, Timber and the Journey Home

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The order is a single rock with its solid wood base, sold individually. On commission the flecks can be replaced by gold leaf or dried leaves, or left out entirely, and a paler wood can be chosen for the base; the rock can be made in other proportions too. The rock and its base are crated separately for delivery, and two people should lift the rock from beneath. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
