Clear Rising Ridge Rock Resin Sculpture on Black Base - 50cm
Clear Rising Ridge Rock Resin Sculpture on Black Base - 50cm $2,22600
Description

From a slim tip at the left, this clear resin rock rises to a tall, squared end at the right, and its broad faces are cut into flat, glassy planes broken by rippled bands. Copper-toned flakes, crumpled and irregular, are caught in a loose diagonal across the middle, with a few tiny specks of the same colour near the tip. The rock sits on a wooden base finished in black, with sloping ends, which is supplied with it.

Copper-Toned Flakes Over a Black Foot

The rock is cast in imported clear resin and worked by hand into large flat facets, the kind left when ice splits cleanly, with rippled steps between them where the planes change direction. The flakes are thin and folded, their edges ragged, and their warm copper tone stands out against the cool clear around them. The base is wood with a smooth black finish, so it reads as a single dark block under the rock and lets the clear and the copper do the work.

On a console or a long sideboard the black base anchors it against pale walls and light timber, and the copper flakes pick up warm lamplight in the evening. It looks well from the side, where the climb from tip to squared end is easiest to follow, and from the front its flat facets flash in turn. Indoor use only.

Black Base, Copper Tone and Delivery

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. One clear rock is sold per order, and its black-finished wooden base comes with it. If you want it made bespoke, the flakes can be gold or silver instead of copper, the black can give way to natural wood, and the rock can be produced at a different scale. It is padded and packed in a strong carton with its base, and it comes out ready to put straight in position. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Copper-toned flakes in a clear rock on a black base sit naturally with our resin sculptures, our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
