Clear Rippled Slab Three Leg Resin Console (160cm) by Giant Sculptures, showing a torn-edge clear resin top on three tapering legs against a plain light grey background.
Clear Rippled Slab Three Leg Resin Console - 160cm $6,34500
Description

In this console a slab of clear resin with a rippled upper face and a torn edge stands on three slender legs of round section, tapering as they drop and set in a row along its length. The legs are cast in the same clear resin as the top, so nothing in the piece is a different material and the whole console is read through.

Three Tapering Legs Under a Torn Slab

The slab is cast with its ripple in the upper mould face and its edge left torn as the material finished, so the outline is what the casting gave and not a line taken afterwards. The three legs are cast in the same clear resin and turned to a taper, and bringing a round section that slender up without a single trapped bubble is slow, since a leg is where a fault would matter. They are set in a row along the length rather than at the corners, so the slab is stressed over its own span and the three bearing points have to be levelled together before it is bedded down.

It is a tall console for a hall or for behind a sofa, a surface to stand at rather than to sit beside. The three legs are in a row along the length, so the ends overhang and the overhang wants allowing for when measuring. Clear resin throughout means what is behind the console is seen through it, which suits a position in front of a window.

The Legs, the Torn Edge, and Placing It

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Most of it is the tapering leg. There are three open questions. The legs can be run in a tint while the slab is left clear, and the torn edge can be finished smooth where a straight line is wanted. Slab span and leg reach are made to the figures you give. Batched together, the pieces are made so the taper of the legs corresponds. The torn edge and the three leg tips are padded first, and the slab and the legs are crated apart so nothing bears on a leg. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A rippled clear slab on three slender legs in a row gives our art furniture a tall console; the torn edge suits our organic sculptures, the clear casting our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
