A long clear resin slab, its whole upper face rippled like water stirred by the wind, forms this dining table's top. Beneath it a copper-toned base loops and curls in ribbon-like coils from one end to the other, and it shows through the clear slab, so the top seems to float above a tangle of warm copper colour.
Its ripple is formed in the upper face of the mould as the slab is cast, and keeping so long a pour clear of trapped air from end to end takes most of the time. The base is formed in fibreglass as a run of looping coils and finished in a copper tone, its curves drawn so the slab is carried at several points along its length. Every loop that meets the slab is trued to the same height first, and the slab's edge is finished smooth all the way round.
It needs a large dining room, with clear floor behind the chairs on every side. The looping base stands well in from the edges, so chairs can be drawn up on all four sides. Light from above shows the ripple best, and a pale floor lets the copper loops read through the slab. Indoor use only.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The length and the depth can be made to order, the ripple can be worked finer or deeper, and the base can be finished in bronze, gold or black instead of copper. The slab can be tinted, and the table can also be made round or oval to suit the room. The slab and the base travel in separate crates, padded at every loop, and six people bring the table in and set it up. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A rippled slab over copper-toned loops gives our art furniture a banqueting table under its clear top; the curling base suits our organic sculptures, the slab our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
