This bench is one long panel of thick clear acrylic, its top and both long sides worked into a close irregular ripple, with the arrises rolled over so the three worked faces run into one another without a line between them. Its brushed stainless blades stand well in from both ends, which lets the panel read as one unbroken length rather than a top resting on legs.
Along a panel this long an irregular ripple asks more of the hand than a rhythmic one: nothing repeats, so nothing can be measured, and the only judgement available is whether the whole run holds together. Worked in sections it shows as sections. The panel is therefore worked along its full length on every pass rather than finished a stretch at a time, which is what keeps the scale of the ripple constant from one end to the other. Rolling the arrises afterwards is the second demand: the roll has to be the same radius the whole length, on a face that is no longer flat. The blades are brushed so they stay quiet under all that movement.
This is a piece for a length of wall rather than a room: a hall, a lobby, the side of a long dining room, or a corridor with width to spare. The ripple is read from the side and from above, so a position you walk the length of does more for it than one you face. Over a hard floor the brushed blades take the floor tone and step back, and the panel appears to float. Leave both ends clear so the overhangs read.
As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. Panel depth is offered heavier or lighter, which changes the price and the scale the ripple reads at. Length is cut to whatever the wall allows. The ripple can be worked to a regular rhythm, confined to the long faces, or taken to a coarser scale. A tint can be introduced. The blades are offered polished, coated or in a darker metal, and how far apart they stand is set at order. Access is the real question here: the blades come off for delivery but the panel cannot be shortened, so check every turn on the way in before ordering. Three people are wanted for the panel. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A ripple that never repeats along the panel belongs with our acrylic sculptures; blades set well in from both ends point to our stainless steel sculptures, and seating along the side of a dining room joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
