Clear Ring & Twin Plume Splash Resin Sculpture - 229cm $9,65000
Description

This clear resin splash springs from a ring of water at its foot, a full loop with an open centre, and from the ring two plumes rise, one on each side: the left thin and very tall, branching near its tip, the right broader and edged all the way up with fingers of spray. A short branch of fingers leaves the left plume partway up, and another reaches into the ring. It stands on a black fibreglass drum whose sides are textured like bark.

Two Plumes Rising From a Ring of Water

The ring at the foot and the two plumes above it make a balanced composition without being symmetrical: the plumes are different heights and different widths, and they lean slightly towards each other, so the piece reads as one splash rather than two, thrown up at a single instant. The centre of the ring is left open, so the room behind shows through it. The fingers at the tips are fine and irregular, and in clear resin they catch the light along their whole length.

At 229cm on its drum it suits the floor of a lofty entrance, lobby or reception, where it is seen from afar and can be circled. A dark wall or planting behind it makes the clear resin stand out, and daylight from one side makes the plumes glitter. The drum gives it a solid footing on any floor, and its black, bark-textured sides set off the clear water above.

Plumes, the Drum and Installation

In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The drum comes with the splash and is priced with it. The plumes can be redrawn in their proportions, the splash can be tinted at its ring, and the drum can be finished in white, bronze or grey instead of black. A bronze drum warms the whole piece, and a white one makes it read as foam on snow; its bark-textured sides can also be made smooth. Splash and drum come crated apart, and the splash is raised onto the drum where it is to stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
