This tub chair is cast in colourless resin and lined over its back and skirt with fine vertical flutes. The back curves round to form the arms, its rim rolling outward so the flutes fan across the edge. A round seat dish carries a plump pad covered in deep red, and below it a narrow rail crosses the front. The skirt beneath is cut away in a broad arch and steps down onto flared feet.
Clear resin with this many flutes behaves like cut glass: each ridge catches its own line of light, so the chair glitters at the sides and softens in the middle, where the ridges run straight towards the eye. At the rolled rim the flutes spread like the ribs of a fan as they turn over the curve. The seat is left smooth, a shallow dish that takes the pad, and from the side the red of the pad is seen faintly through the flutes, warming the colourless resin around it.
The rolled rim stands at 78cm, the height of a proper armchair, so it suits a reading corner, a bedroom or a hotel lounge. Clear and red together sit well in a white interior, and the chair barely interrupts the view across a space. Daylight behind it lights up every flute in turn. Indoor use only.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The pad can be covered in another colour or fabric, or left off for a chair that is clear throughout. The fluting can be set finer or wider, or omitted for a smooth tub, and the resin can be tinted. Height and plan follow any figures you give. Delivery is in a single crate, and it is a two-person carry through doors and up stairs. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Clear fluted seating with a red cushion is part of our art furniture, belongs in our indoor sculptures, and as a cast piece sits among our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
