Description

Deep rust-red fern fronds fan out across the front of this clear resin block, crossing one another in a loose spray that rises from the foot towards the top. Around them sit three round, mustard-yellow flower heads on thread-like stalks, a soft cream plume of grass seed, small papery bracts in pale ivory and a glossy brown nut with an orange cap, while a ribbed seed pod and a long, brown papery husk lie near the bottom.

A Rust-Red Fern Spray with Mustard Blooms

Imported clear resin gives this block flat, glassy faces and sharp corners, and there is depth enough for the botanicals to sit at varying distances from the front. The fronds keep every notch of their leaflets, their red running from a dark wine colour along the midrib to a brighter rust at the tips. The yellow heads are dense, round and slightly granular, the grass plume is fine and feathery, and the seed pods keep the ridges and sheen of the dried originals. As with any natural material, no two sprays share an outline, so every block's composition is a little different.

Its broad front makes it a good choice for a desk, a sideboard or a bookshelf where it is seen face on, and the warm reds look especially rich against green walls, grey stone or pale timber. At 27cm it fits neatly on a mantelpiece beside candles or framed prints. Side light deepens the reds and shows up the texture of the seed heads. Indoor use only.

Your Fern Block, Made Up and Sent Out

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. Each order is filled with one block, made once you have placed it. For a bespoke commission the fern can give way to leaves or flowers in other colours, the yellow heads can be left out or added to, and the block can be produced at another size or with a hint of smoke in the resin. It goes out wrapped and boxed with its corners protected, ready to display as soon as it is unwrapped. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
