Description

This slim, square block of high-clarity resin holds pressed botanicals at the centre of its front face, dried flat so that each stem, leaf or seed head reads as a crisp, dark outline against the clear. An even margin of empty resin frames the specimen on every side, much as a plant is mounted on a herbarium sheet. The broad faces are polished flat and the edges are cut square, and the narrow sides stay clear enough for the specimen to be seen edge-on as a fine dark line.

Pressed Specimens in a Slim Clear Square

High-clarity resin keeps the block glass-clear from the front face to the back, with each face brought to a high gloss that leaves the botanicals inside free of haze. The botanicals are pressed into a single flat plane and dried to a deep brown or near black, so their outline reads cleanly, down to the finest hairs and notches along the edges. Slim from front to back, the block stands upright on its own and catches the light along its polished sides. Every specimen is a real plant, so its shape differs from one block to the next.

Its slim depth lets it stand on a narrow shelf, a windowsill or a mantelpiece, where the dark outline reads clearly from across a room, and it slips easily between books. At 22cm it sits at a comfortable height on a desk or a bookshelf, close to eye level for someone seated nearby. A pale wall behind it keeps the silhouette crisp, and a desk lamp nearby makes the polished edges gleam. Indoor use only.

One Pressed Block, Made When You Order

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The price is for one block, sold individually, and it is made once your order is confirmed. Commissioned bespoke, it can hold a pressed flower, a fern frond or a sprig of your choice, and the block can be made slimmer, broader or at another size. It goes out in a fitted box lined with foam, and it is ready to stand on a shelf the moment it is unwrapped. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
