A colourless upright form with a pointed tip, pierced by openings from the crown down to the foot and fringed with small fins at its edges. Untinted, the piece is drawn entirely by its edges and the polish on them, and every opening shows the room behind. It is mounted on black marble, which is included.
Take the colour away and a pierced form becomes a drawing in glass. The openings are the subject, every rim is polished, and the eye follows the bright lines of the edges from the pointed tip, round the broad opening beneath it and down through the smaller ones toward the foot. Because the resin is clear, holes seen through the body overlap holes in front of them, so the piece looks more pierced than it is, and it changes with every step taken past it.
Set on a console at 83cm, it meets the eye of a standing visitor, and a sideboard or a hall serves as well. It needs something to show through its openings: a window, a lit room beyond, or a dark wall that makes every edge bright. A pale wall close behind is the one setting to avoid, since the clear body then all but vanishes.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. A tint can be added and graded down from the tip, anything from a faint wash to a deep blue, and gold or silver leaf can be set into the body. More openings, or fewer, can be cut to order. A paler stone can be had instead of the black marble. It ships bedded in foam, its marble separately boxed, and on unpacking it is held at the stem and the body, never by a fin. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear fin pierced from tip to foot belongs with our abstract sculptures; openings overlapping through a colourless body join it to our organic sculptures, and polished edges drawn in untinted resin suit our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
