A colourless wave with two crests that rise apart and never meet: the left climbing on a long diagonal and the right standing up and curling over at the top, with a run of broken water between them. Spray breaks along the whole length in fingers and flicks. It is clear throughout, so the light does all of the work.
The gap between the crests is what makes this a wave in motion rather than a wave at rest: two crests that met would close the form, and two that stand apart leave the water still travelling. The high crest is set off-centre for the same reason, so that the length reads as a sequence. With no colour in it, the piece is made entirely of edges and highlights, and the spray is drawn out finely because every point returns its own spark of light.
At this length it wants a long wall, a gallery run or a wide reception, with room to stand back far enough to take in both crests at once. A dark ground behind it is essential for a colourless piece, or the edges vanish against the wall. Light raking along its length picks out the spray. From across a room the two crests and the gap between them carry, and the broken water is found close to.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. Three points can be settled at the order. The crests can be drawn further apart or brought nearer, a tint can be introduced into the water at the foot, and the spray can be kept finer or made bolder. Bring the crests nearer and the run between them closes up, so the wave keeps its sense of travel. It ships in a long crate laid flat and needs three people to stand it and set it level. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Spray breaking all along a clear wave whose crests never meet leads on to our organic sculptures, our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
