Description

Broad and rugged, this rock of high-clarity resin climbs on the left to a jagged crest of small spiky points, then drops through a notch to a blockier mass on the right with a flatter top. From the right-hand flank a pointed spur juts out sideways, like a ledge of ice. The faces are deeply crinkled, catching bright highlights along every fold, and smooth olive-khaki slivers are scattered through both masses at different angles. It comes with a tall base of dark timber with slanting ends.

A Spiky Crest and a Spur of Ice

The crinkling is dense and lively, more like crushed ice than a smooth surface, so the faces sparkle instead of mirroring the room. The slivers are lozenge-shaped, smooth and slightly curved, in a muted olive-khaki that stays matt against the bright resin, and they float at different depths, so a few seem close enough to touch while others recede. The spur on the right is sharp-edged and thin enough to read as a separate point of ice. The base is a deep block of dark-brown timber with a quiet grain, and its ends lean inwards.

Its length suits a sideboard, a credenza or a long hall console, and it also works on a wide reception desk where it is walked past and seen from both ends. A pale wall behind it shows off the jagged skyline, while a lamp beside it warms the olive slivers. Give the spur a little room so nothing crowds it. Indoor use only.

Spur, Slivers and the Dark Base, Delivered

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Each purchase is for one rock together with its dark base, sold individually. On commission the slivers can be warmed to amber or brightened with gold leaf, the spur can be drawn out further or left off for a smoother outline, and the base can come in a paler timber; other dimensions are available to order. Rock and base are crated apart; on arrival the timber is positioned before two people raise the rock onto it, holding the left-hand mass and never the spur. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
