Description

This upright rock of clear resin rises as a tall, compact mass, rounded off at the left of its crown and cut square at a shoulder on the right, with its right flank swelling outwards. Every face is covered in a swirling, sugary texture, like hoarfrost feathered across a window pane. A few flecks of brassy olive are held in the body: a long one near the crown, a crumpled one to the left and a darker flake, almost black at its heart, halfway down the right side. At 33cm it sits comfortably on a desk or at the end of a bookshelf.

Hoarfrost Swirls Around Olive Flecks

Over a body of imported clear resin, the whole skin is worked by hand into fine, curling ridges and tiny pits, so the surface glitters and softens the view into the rock rather than opening onto it. Here and there the texture thins to a glassy patch, and these are the places where the flecks come into view. They are thin and crumpled, olive with a brassy sheen, and one is so dark that it reads as a shadow until a lamp catches its rim. Because the frosting is judged by eye, its swirls and the scatter of flecks differ on every rock.

Its compact, upright build suits a writing desk, a bookshelf or a hall table, where the frosting can be studied from close by. A dark wall or a walnut shelf behind it brings the swirling texture forward, and a lamp to one side wakes the flecks one at a time as you pass. Indoor use only.

Flecks, Frosting and the Journey Out

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. This price is for one rock, sold on its own. On commission the flecks can be cast in gold or copper leaf instead, crowded more thickly through the crown or left out so the resin stays empty, and the frosting can be eased to a gentler ripple. Other heights are made to order. It is packed in a fitted crate lined with foam, and it should be lifted with both hands beneath its mass, never by the crown. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
