Description

Two chunky slabs of clear resin lean into each other in this upright rock and cross at a narrow waist. The left one climbs to the highest point, a flat top set at a slight tilt, then swings out sideways into a broad, rounded wing; the right one stops at a rounded shoulder, and a notch opens between the two. Below the crossing a sturdy trunk, split by a deep vertical cleft, widens to a level foot. A few olive-khaki flakes, slim lozenges pointed at both ends, hang in the clear at different depths.

Two Slabs Crossing at a Narrow Waist

Every face is crinkled like crushed ice, with fine white fracture streaks running down it, yet the imported clear resin stays transparent between them, so the far side of the rock can be followed through the near one. The flakes are few and translucent, olive-khaki with a grey sheen where they catch the light, and one is folded lengthwise into a shallow crease like a book left half open. Near the foot a squarer flake of the same colour sits deep in the trunk. The crossing of the slabs and the drift of the flakes are worked out anew each time, so no two come out alike.

At 54cm it holds its own on a sideboard, a console or a credenza, and it suits a reception counter where visitors pass on both sides. Side lighting suits the crossing best, drawing the white streaks into relief, and a deep-toned wall behind lets the olive flakes show clearly. Give the broad wing some room so that nothing crowds it. Indoor use only.

Flake Count, Further Sizes and the Crate

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The olive-khaki flakes can be scattered more thickly through both slabs, kept to a handful, or omitted so the resin is left entirely clear, and the slabs can be drawn to cross at a steeper or a flatter angle. Further sizes are made on request. The price is for one rock, and each is sold individually. It travels in a padded crate; lift it from beneath the trunk and keep hands off the wing. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
