The ribbon turns once through its height and draws to a point at the crown, the inner faces bright and the outer plain. Colourless through the ribbon, with the inner faces bright enough to return the room. It comes with a tall black marble plinth, and the ribbon stands at its top.
A half turn in a body with no colour has nothing to be read by except what it reflects, and that is why the inside of the turn is taken to a mirror and the outside is not. Walk round it and the piece changes completely, because what it is showing you changes with you. A half turn in a colourless body is only visible through its own reflections, which is why the inner faces are taken to a mirror finish and the outer left plain. Mirror-bright inside the turn and polished outside it, a deliberate difference between the two.
Floor work for a hall, standing on its tall stone. Put something worth looking at on the wall behind it, because the inner faces will return whatever stands opposite. One source in front of it; light from behind is thrown straight back and the turn goes flat. The turn carries; what the inner faces are holding arrives at about two paces.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Say the word and the turn is drawn through further, the point is lengthened, or a different stone goes beneath it. The ribbon is drawn to stand on the tall stone it comes with. The marble can be cut from a paler stone, and the plinth made to a height of your own. Two crates on one pallet, the stone and the ribbon apart, joined on site. Three people and a trolley for the tall stone. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear ribbon twisted through a half turn leads to our organic sculptures; its bright inner faces join our resin sculptures, and a hall suits it on its tall stone among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
